Box Tree Moth

The box tree moth caterpillars are hatching. A depressing sight on a huge box tree. Impossible to pick each and every one off, the tree is too high and they breed several times a year. I feel I’m fighting a losing battle. This is the third year now. They are relentless and voracious and have no predators except me.

Malőr. Kikelnek a buxus fákon a Selyemfényű puszpángmoly hernyók (Cydalima perspectalis).

This is what the butterfly looks like: beautiful. But deadly. I found this one dead on a windowsill in the summer.
